An opportunity to join a successful special purpose machinery manufacturer supplying conveying and handling equipment, mainly to the food industry.
The jobs will involve:-
Conceptual design, including proposal layouts, outline assembly drawings and 3D solid models
Visits to customers site to obtain accurate dimensions.
Detail design of new components and assemblies
Modification of existing components and assemblies to match exact customer requirements
Liaison with customers engineering staff and other OEMs to ensure full integration.
Preparation of laser cutting files and sheet metal developments.
Creation and updating of bills of materials for all aspects of a project.
Specification of all mechanical bought out components.
Design calculations throughout the design process
Visits to customers site to supervise installation of plant equipment.
Technical Authorship of manuals, documents etc.
Maintaining drawing register and ensuring all modifications made during production are recorded.
Candidates must have a thorough understanding of designing special purpose machinery, ideally using Autodesk Inventor.
Salary - £28,000 - £30,000
