An interesting role, working with a multi-discipline team of design engineers on mainly defence related projects.
More specifically, the job will involve:-
- Working with 3D CAD systems to produce new product designs.
- Supporting new products from concept through to volume manufacture.
- Carrying out stress/dynamic analysis using FEA tools and hand calculations
To be successful you must have:-
- At least 5 year’s experience of designing mechanical and electro-mechanical precision products gained in an aerospace or similar environment.
- Experience of design for lean manufacture.
- Experience of drafting complex customer documentation packages
- Experience of design servo systems and motor drives
- An HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
As the job will involve some defence contract work you must have, or be eligible to gain, defence clearance. Own transport is essential as the job will involve some travel, both in the UK and abroad.
Salary: to £40,000 plus benefits
